WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Dan & Debbie’s Creamery is a small, modern-day dairy production facility and retail store located in Ely, Iowa. Our mission is to provide our region with a unique farm-to-table dairy experience through the production of small-batch, exceptionally made dairy products—all while adding value to our family dairy farm with sustainability, innovation, and animal welfare in mind.

We are currently looking for a delivery driver to help distribute our farm-fresh dairy and other locally made products to customers across Iowa. This position is typically between 2-5 days per week, with most routes lasting 6–8 hours.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys being out on the road. You don’t need experience as a delivery driver—we’re happy to train the right person—but you do need a positive attitude, a clean driving record, and a willingness to represent our family farm with pride.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys a bit of independence, is customer-service minded, and wants to be part of a local business making a difference.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH AND EXPERIENCE

• Deliver dairy and local products with friendly, reliable service to wholesale customers across Iowa
• Maintain professionalism and represent Dan & Debbie’s Creamery with a customer-first mindset
• Develop great working relationships with our partners and customers
• Ensure orders are accurately packed, delivered on time, and handled with care
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized
• Support our warehouse team with loading and prepping deliveries
• Learn how to troubleshoot on the go and think on your feet
• Become an ambassador of our farm’s mission and values
• Experience the behind-the-scenes process of a farm-to-table business
• Help us grow—share feedback, ideas, and opportunities you see on the road

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
• Friendly and professional communication
• Good time management and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently for long stretches
• Willing to learn and follow safety and delivery procedures
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the day
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
• Availability for 2–3 days per week, with routes typically ranging from 6–8 hours

We are searching for a highly motivated, dedicated, and passionate people who will actively provide an exceptional experience for customers visiting the creamery. This person does not have to have any previous work experience, but they do need to come with a positive attitude and a willingness to work.

Our ideal candidate will learn a great deal of transferrable skills that they can carry with them the rest of his or her life.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH AND EXPERIENCE

• Ensure the creamery retail store daily functions are being met by providing exceptional service of products and service to customers.
• Providing a top notch welcome to customers upon arrival and thank them for visiting us at the completion of their visit or transaction
• Assist customers with comments, questions and concerns
• Serve up smiles with the scoops of ice cream ordered by customers
• Engage with customers in a sincere and friendly manner while they are with us; encouraging them to experience everything we have to offer and suggest products
• Keep the store shelves, cooler and freezer fully stocked with products
• Responsible for daily prep-work and clean-up, ensuring that all areas of the store are maintained, clean and well organized and reflect the standards of our brand
• Work as a team to achieve department goals as set forth and communicated
• Develop an expert knowledge of the retail store and product offerings available to customers
• A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role
• Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and willing to help)
• Must work well with a team
• Positive and hardworking
• Must be available for varied shifts between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
• Must be able to communicate conflicts and balance your schedule in a timely manner
• Basic reading and math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for an entire shift
• Must be at least 16 years of age to apply
• Lift, push and carry weight limits up to 50 pounds
