This creamy beef and bowtie pasta is a quick and easy meal! Perfect for family dinner!
Creamy Beef and Bowtie Pasta
- 8 ounces bowtie pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup Dan and Debbie’s heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
-
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Remove any excess grease if needed.
-
Add the chopped onion to the skillet with the beef and sauté until softened (about 3 minutes). Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
-
Pour in the undrained diced tomatoes and beef broth. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
-
Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let the sauce simmer for another 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
-
Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and incorporated into the sauce. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for garnish. Serve hot with additional Parmesan on the side if desired.
