Halloween Spook Board

Get festive for Halloween with a spook board! A spook board is the perfect addition to any Halloween party! You can substitute your favorite spooky snacks on here, but here’s what we used.

Make sure you have a nice spread of sweet and savory! Adding in meats, cheeses, and a few sweets makes for a nice well balanced snack board! But of course, you need to tailor it to what your creepy crew loves. I also tried to make it so I could easily create the board and then put it in the fridge, so I can pull it out when I want to serve it. So I made sure all of the fixings could go in the fridge without harming anything.

Halloween Spook Board

  • Dan and Debbie’s cheddar cheese curds to look like ghosts
  • carrots [with candy eye balls to make it creepy]
  • gummy worms
  • chocolate covered pretzels [I used the square kind and drizzled chocolate all over, to make it look like spider webs]
  • grapes
  • witches broomsticks [these are made just with Reece’s peanut butter cups and stick pretzels]
  • Celery + peanut butter [with candy eye balls to make it creepy]
  • Tombstones [I made these with Milano cookies + added “RIP” on top with black icing]
  • Mummy Oreo balls [recipe below]
  • For an extra treat, I added in Halloween themed toothpicks that I got at Target that have little witch hats and zombie hands that I put in the cheese curds and grapes.

Mummy Oreo Ball Recipe

  • Crush up 32 vanilla Oreo cookies with a rolling pin or in a food processor until they are fine.
  • Add in one 8-ounce package of cream cheese that’s at room temperature. Mix well until all combined.
  • Roll your Oreo mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill in your freezer for 15 minutes. While your balls are chilling, melt your white chocolate.
  • Cover your balls with melted white chocolate until coated. I also drizzle extra on top to create the mummy look. Then add your candy eye balls.
  • Chill your Oreo balls until ready to serve.
